Decaisnea Insignis

On the Roof of the World one can find plants adapting to the climate. Many beautiful plants can be found on the Earth's highest peaks.

It might sound unappetizing but the pulp is indeed edible and is said to taste like watermelon. The pods come in different sizes and in different shades, including a dark blue´ish colour which is why it has been duped “dead man’s fingers”.
