This playful design with Barbary abes, also known as macaques abes, is delightful and colourful.
These abes belong to the subfamily called Cercopithecinae. One of the characteristic features of this subfamily is the presence of cheek pouches in which the animals store food.
Originally found in Morocco and Tunisia, the macaque abe is known as the face of tourism on the Rock of Gibraltar
Printed with Japanese archival ink on a matte Hahnemühle paper in our own studio in rural Copenhagen, Denmark.
